Role overview: Senior Manager, Operations

Elephant is seeking a determined, commercially astute Operations expert to lead and grow our team of customer success representatives in Pakistan, leading the successful implementation of Elephant’s Operating System in dozens of health clinics and own key stakeholder relationships within the Federal Government. The Senior Manager of Operations will oversee the expansion of Elephant’s current footprint to additional facilities in Islamabad and beyond.

You will be an integral part of Elephant’s local Pakistan team, which you will be responsible for recruiting, leading and performance managing. As Elephant is in a high growth phase within Pakistan; you will need to be dynamic, driven, hardworking and entrepreneurial to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and managerial skills with a track record of leading high performing teams to produce results in difficult circumstances. They will be adept at managing the challenges of fielding difficult requests from customer stakeholders, and in organising an operational team to get things done. They are likely to be a former entrepreneur, or high performing leader from a professional services firm.

This Senior Manager will report directly to the Global Director of Operations, but will partner closely on a day-to-day basis with our key commercial lead in Pakistan, the Country Director. Our Country Director in Pakistan is responsible for maintaining our highest-level governmental relationships and in communicating operational progress to these stakeholders over time.


The Senior Manager of Operations will be responsible for managing and overseeing teams in Pakistan to:

  • build and maintain relationships, including with health ministries at all levels of government;
  • Sustainably grow Elephant Pakistan to serve thousands of facilities, including delivering hardware, training staff, and troubleshooting technical problems;
  • ensure customer experience is at the core of everything we do, including gathering product and customer service feedback and prioritising actions to take;
  • ensure the company’s values of kindness, candour and good humour are upheld, and ensure compliance with the highest ethical and anti-bribery and corruption standards;
  • make provisions for the safety and welfare of Elephant’s employees, customers, and the environment; and

Although there is no such thing as a ‘typical day’ at Elephant, the Senior Manager will be involved in:

  • Building and maintaining customer relationships, including closing contracts;
  • Developing and coordinating strategy with Elephant’s Global Head Office;
  • Hiring and performance management of the Pakistan team;
  • Managing financial performance and risk;
  • Resolving customer and team issues; and
  • Gathering product feedback to support product development.

You will be expected to work flexibly, with frequent national travel as required.
