The Sr. Project Manager (PjM) role is a trusted advisor to client project leadership within the assigned accounts. She / He actively drives communications with leadership within Northwind and the client to help our customers achieve their objectives. The PjM provides relevant, clear and prescriptive advice, grounded in relevant experience, to continuously drive these projects through to successful completion. The Services Project Manager (PjM) is responsible for leading engagement delivery within a formal Statement of Work (SOW) to drive predictable behaviors in terms of project process and outcomes (accomplished on time, on budget, and according to customer specifications). The Services Project Manager is responsible for delivery excellence, engagement quality and customer satisfaction.

-Executes established (as mutually agreed to) policies and procedures for the project, e.g. quality assurance, team reference guide, communication plan, and setting up the environment.

-Manages (as mutually agreed to) Northwind resources, partners and/or customer resources and materials (equipment, supplies, stock, or consumable/perishable items) used to complete tasks in a project.

-Maintains the Master Program Plan to include at least: the Communication Plan (communications within the team and between the team and external entities) and the Team Reference Guide Plan (identifies team and external team members). In addition, maintains the Master Project Schedule.

-Stays current and involved in collecting conditions of the project relative to resources (people and optionally funding/cost), schedule (time), and features (the solution and its quality) as specified by the established project protocol. In addition, performs the process of comparing actual performance with planned performance, analyze variances, evaluate possible alternatives and take appropriate corrective action (control) as specified by the established project protocol.

-Collects, reviews and publishes project status with regard to resources (people and optionally funding/cost), schedule (time), stakeholder management, and features (the solution and its quality) that influence project performance and completion.

Intellectual Property

Researches and proactively shares intellectual property (IP) and provides recommendations for improvement including submitting new IP. Holds others accountable for reusing appropriate IP and collective knowledge by enforcing use of processes and artifacts with team members.

Relationship Development
-Engages with customer stakeholders to develop partnerships, leveraging broad technical expertise. Manages escalations or ensures resolution of escalations with customer stakeholders through tailored corrective action (e.g., education) and overcomes ambiguous situations as needed.

-Learns to leverage project sponsors and internal network to influence stakeholders and resolve situations.

-Drives customer satisfaction by engaging with customers stakeholders in a positive manner, reviewing and analyzing customer feedback, and leveraging trusted relationships with key internal resources to act as the voice of the customer. Manages expectations with political sensitivity by leading Conditions of Satisfaction (COSs) discussions with customer, and documenting, executing, and monitoring accordingly.

-Adheres to project compliance standards (e.g., confidentiality, privacy) and requirements of the contract and accommodates customer compliance standards, including managing compliance-related complexities (e.g., high sensitivity to confidentiality). Champions compliance by contributing to knowledge sharing across teams to build compliance capability of others.

-Drives project initiation for projects of medium complexity (e.g., multiple offerings, multiple domains and/or supports projects of high complexity (e.g., tailored offerings, high visibility, high impact, market making) by delivering a workstream within a larger project/program, by driving commitment of delivery resources, assigning resources, assisting in sourcing and qualifying partner resources, and creating work breakdown structures (WBSs) with delivery team.
-Balances needs across projects in challenging situations (e.g., scarce technical resources), with support from senior colleagues as needed, and collaborates with other groups (e.g., resource managers, India Global Delivery) on integrated planning and organization of onshore/offshore projects.

-Facilitates contracting process for partner resources (e.g., contractors, vendors) by briefing partners, coordinating partner candidate interviews, and identifying and acclimating partner resources to the team. Supports negotiation and structuring of fixed-fee subcontractor contracts with oversight from senior colleagues.

-Delivers engagements within the constraints of schedule, features/functionality, and budget

-Manages the work that must be done in order to deliver an integrated solution usually composed of products, services, or a formalized solution offering

-Establishes a strategy of continuous risk management that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the project life cycle and creates an environment to support it where the project team has visible, measurable, and repeatable processes for managing these risks
-Drives timely project closure by ensuring completion of project sign off tasks (e.g., system closeout updates, deletion of customer data, Deliverable Acceptance Form). Drives incremental process improvement by reflecting on and sharing lessons learned across teams, creating and suggesting improvements to intellectual property (IP), providing feedback to managers on team member performance, and conducting closeout interviews with team members.

-Applies advanced knowledge across project management principle areas to execution and delivery, contributes at local team-wide level to share knowledge and support others, serves as a mentor to junior colleagues to grow identified skill gaps, and participates in cross-border mentoring and peer alignment to share lessons learned on challenging projects.
-Bachelors Degree in related field AND 3+ years experience in project management
OR Masters Degree in related field AND 2+ years experience in project management
OR Doctorate Degree in related field
OR equivalent experience.

-Eight+ years as primary project manager on transformational services engagements. Demonstrated capability in managing large, global, complex implementations from sales through to go live.

-3-5 years working with offshore development organizations

-Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to build, extend and maintain senior client relationships with executive steering committee members

-Exceptional communication, team building and mentoring skills

-Demonstrated ability to lead consulting teams comprising of 5+ senior level domain experts

-Project Management fundamentals (e.g. PMI or equivalent) and Industry-specific certifications

-Ability to travel up to 75%+ based on client requirements and demands
