Description

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure smooth functioning of assigned Retail Lending function of Region with focus to improve quality and size of regional credit Portfolio. Coordination with Lending Hubs for business development activities to generate new prospects for achievement of assigned targets of Region in compliance with Bank’s policies and regulations. Ensure proper housekeeping of assigned portfolio including timely renewals of limits and recovery of dues / markup /commission.

Description

Business Development & Customer Services:
  • Assist Field staff for marketing & business development activities to generate new prospects for achievement of assigned targets of the Region.
  • To have complete knowledge of all Lending Products, Procedures and Policies
  • Ensure best services are being provided to the customers by the Retail Lending Teams in the Region.
  • To supervise timely Processing/ preparation of quality credit proposals of all lending Hubs under the region.
  • Strong Liaison with Lending Hubs and concerned functions like Risk, CTP, Treasury and CAD for approvals, execution of transactions and disbursement processes.
  • Review customer’s credit proposals and other requests, prioritize cases and interpret established policies, applying discretion within authority limits in order to resolve customer issues.
Risk Management & Compliance:
  • To assist Regional Retail Lending Head on Credit Reviews to approve / recommend these within bank’s approved Credit policy and given regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure that KYC / AML and other regulatory/Banks policies are fully complied with in Lending hubs of Region.
  • Monitoring/mitigating risks associated with assigned portfolio.
  • Coordinate with internal/external auditors to achieve satisfactory audit rating of Region & ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Monitor utilization of funded & non funded facilities by customers to ensure utilization of facilities for the approved purpose only.
  • Ensure that the credit/ lending functions are managed as per Bank’s laid down credit policies & procedures.
  • Follow up and monitor assigned region’s portfolio to ensure satisfactory account conduct, compliance of risk covenants and early rectification of various credit related issues.
  • To ensure proper housekeeping of the portfolio including timely renewals of limits in line with policy of the bank
  • Monitoring all lending Hubs under region for timely recovery of dues/markup/commission of assigned portfolio.
  • To monitor / mitigate risks associated with Region’s Credit portfolio while recommending fresh limits / deferrals / Temporary extensions / release of collaterals.
  • Periodical visits to borrower sites, factories.
  • Advise and instruct team members relating to risk and compliance policies to ensure that business is not exposed to undue risk.
  • To closely monitor industry trends & economic changes affecting clients’ position & pass on information to the team members and keep them informed / abreast of such developments.

Policy & Process development
  • Contribute to the development of processes and the implementation of systems and process improvements within the Region. Provide input and feedback for development of various new initiatives including RACs, Product Programs and other guidelines.
People Management
  • To ensure training & personal development of allocated team in terms of Bank’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
  • Post-Graduation / Graduation
Minimum experience:
  • Approx. 5 years of relevant experience.
