Job Title: Operations ManagerReporting to: Divisional ManagerKey Interface: Customers Store Managers / Supervisors Operations Management team All Fashion Division employees Senior Management team (Fashion and JBG) External Business Contacts / Suppliers (as required) Operations Assistant Projects Team Merchandising Logistics HR IT Internal Audit Department Risk Control Brand Managers Finance Assistant Brand Managers Scope of the role: A predominantly regionally based role that takes accountability for driving sales and profitability of a specific Country / Region through an existing (and expanding) store portfolio. Reviewing and monitoring the sales and stock performance of stores based in the region and proactively highlighting issues to the Brand Manager / Merchandising teams. A manager by influence that ensures stores based in their location deliver a consistent implementation of the Customer Service Proposition. The sphere of responsibility requires commercial decision making, the ability to operate across a number of differing Brands / priorities and a key focus on developing a unified team. Key Objectives:Accountable for the achievement of the agreed annual Regional Business PlanOversees the operation within a specific country / territory to ensure the smooth running of the Jawad Fashion DivisionDrive Area / Store Managers based within your region to meet and exceed agreed Business and Store level KPI’sSupports the Brand Manager to recruitment and develop Store Managers to support future promotion (succession) opportunities across the Fashion DivisionAccountable for ensuring store team vacancies are filled.Accountable for monitoring the geographical coverage of stores and ensuring necessary action is taken to address any staff availability issues.Accountable for ensuring all employees are aware of and adhere to Jawad Policies and Procedures.Accountabilities and Responsibilities: 1. Ensuring you are focused upon delivering Sales and Profit Contribute and influence the annual sales plan for each Brand / Store level based in the regionResponsible for ensuring the brands / stores based in the region are delivering the sales according to the set (regional) business plansReview regional P&L on a monthly basis to maximise profitability and highlight any exceptions / influence the relevant managers and functions to take appropriate actionEnsure Store Managers within the region fully understand their store’s P&L and are aware how to control any store level controllable costs.Works in conjunction with HR / PROs regarding employee related documentation.Monitor and review all store related controllable expenses (authorised by the store manager) and approve any exceptional store spend, in conjunction with the Brand Manager.Coach Store managers to be confident in understanding and communicating sales figures, P&L, best and worst sellers etc. and the reasons for this.Accountable for ensuring regional overheads remain within agreed budgetsSubmit your travel plans as part of the business planning process and ensure visits take place according to approved travel plansConduct daily and / or weekly updates and trading meetings with all Area / Store Managers Contribute to the seasonal range performance evaluation for each Brand within the region and submit to the Brand Manager / Divisional ManagerApprove all write offs on a monthly basis and ensure the back office updates the relevant records
