Job Purpose:
To maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, gas matters and other financial activities within the organization. To prepare financial reports and analyse financial information.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Team coordination and preparation of relevant schedules for monthly, quarterly and year end closings.
- Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with sound grip on trial balance and general ledger.
- Analyze significant business matters including gas, inventory, regulatory issues, financial commitments and obligations to provide advice.
- Prepare /supervise accounting team in preparation of financial reports and information required by SBP, NEPRA, PSX etc.
- Assisting finance organization on Annual Report, Sustainability Report, PSX Top Companies, Digital Awards etc.
- Financial reporting coordination with the Company's internal and external auditors including cost audits.
- Ensure that the Company's operating policies and procedures are developed, updated and are adhered to.
- Preparation and review of the Company's major judgmental areas and assessing the need for provisions / accruals or contingencies etc.
- Preparation and presentation of quarterly packs for BAC.
- Identify areas for potential system / process / control improvements.
- Preparing GL wise reconciliation along with review of proof sheet and coordination with other departments.
- Assisting overall Finance teams on ad-hoc information needs.
