Over Look all Operations and Maintenance Activities and ensure Plant meets Organizational Goals.

DM (Performance), coordinates & controls the performance of plant in consultation with DGM-performance (KTGTPS). In order to achieve the targets regularly monitors plant performance parameters, coordinates with Operations and Maintenance Sections, identifies improvement areas and extends technical support.
Prepare Daily, Monthly and Yearly Plant Generation and Management Reports. Manage generation, fuel, operational and outage data of power plant. Maintain Plant trip logs with event details and cycle hours, tracking technical parameters of major equipment on daily basis and reporting any abnormality. Carry out Root cause analysis of repeated failures with operations and maintenance teams.
Takes care of core values and administrative matters of the company for strict compliance by him and his team.


BE/BSc in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from HEC approved institution.

  • Must possess in depth knowledge of functional principle of power plant.
  • Must possess in depth Knowledge of power plant safety, O&M and management.
  • Monitoring Power Plant Key Performance Indicators, indicate decline if any and strive to achieve best results.
  • Knowledge of Company's policies and procedures
  • Awareness of Company's business objectives, market position and commercial performance, such that the impact of these on the performance of the process being managed is understood.
  • Knowledge of Contractual Agreements & insurance
  • Knowledge of local industrial rules
  • Awareness of business finance and supply chain
  • Must have proficiency with Computer knowledge such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CMMS/SAP.

Minimum 5 years' experience of working in Performance Monitoring Section of a Power Plant.

Area of Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Environment:
  • Works as a custodian of Safety Rules and Permit-to-Work (PTW) system implemented at KTGTPS. Mentors all employees for implementation and compliance of HSE rules and procedures with due spirit.
  • Arranges required training for his team to keep them knowledgeable, active and motivated.
  • Coordinates effectively with Manager (HSEQ) for implementation of HSEQ procedures and achievement of related objectives.
Availability, Reliability and Efficiency (KPI)
  • Advices DGM (Performance) in achieving declared KPIs of the plant.
  • Calculate Section Wise Energy loss, prepare trip report, recommendations.
  • Monitors recurring defects. Conducts brainstorming & RCA sessions with sectional heads for improvement.
  • Carries out Condition Monitoring, Lube Oil analysis etc.
Communication, Planning and Reporting
  • Prepare Daily, Monthly and Yearly Plant Generation and Management Reports.
  • Managing generation, fuel, operational and outage data of power plant.
  • Maintaining Plant trip logs with event details and cycle hours.
  • Tracking technical parameters of major equipment on daily basis and reporting any abnormality.
  • Liaison with SSGC during meter calibration and gas yard maintenance.
Proactive analysis of Performance Reports
  • Carries out daily energy data analysis for machine output, efficiency, energy and fuel.
  • Works closely with Operation and Maintenance to mitigate any abnormality.
  • Carrying out performance test of the machine and taking corrective actions.
  • Support other sections in technical matters related to operations, reliability, maintenance planning and outage execution.
  • Conducts Root Cause Analysis ensure plant's availability and reliability.
  • Analyses pre and post maintenance performance of gas engines, steam turbines and other major equipment of the power plant.
  • Analyses operational data of main equipment and BOP for performance and reliability assurance.
  • Technical and Performance data Analysis.
  • Identify the causes of plants reduced availability and thermal efficiency
  • Review outages and maintenance history and make recommendations to improve unit output & performance
Plant Performance, procedures, documentation
  • Preparing annual training calendar and monthly training man-hour's reports.
  • Identify Key Performance Indicator's from plant head to assistant manager level and report as per designated schedule.
  • Preparing monthly reports such as monthly generation statistics, NEPRA, achievements, goals, challenges, monthly journal etc.
  • Keeping operation / maintenance performance reports.
